Jeannine Otis is an honors graduate of Wellesley College (BA) and of Emerson College (MA).

In collaboration with Terri Monihan and Vishnu Wood designed and executed workshops that explored the history of African American music and movement. These workshops were performed throughout the school system and at various private schools.
Included exploration of the works of great artists such as LANGSTON HUGHES, DUKE ELLINGTON, and movement styles from the Harlem Renaissance.
Imagining A Better World
Jeannine says: “This is about social/emotional literacy, my work with young people. Usually I have been working with teenagers and even young adults who are coming out of prison. I was asked by the Staten Island Foundation to do this project with children who had been caught up in all the ERIC GARNER aftermath business…..these children live in the Housing Project very near the area he frequented. I love this work, and this video.”
